Work Weekend 2010
This is a perfect opportunity to lend camp a helping hand. There are always lots of projects to be done. This year's projects will include: roofing the Big Four, building another tent platform at Green Ridge, spreading lots of mulch, raking, chipping and hauling brush, scraping, painting (indoors and outside) repairing screens, plus anything else Bill and Ron may have on their list. Not only is a great opportunity to spruce up camp it is also a wonderful time to reconnect with camp friends. Last year more than 80 Friends lent a helping hand! Once again our meals will include culinary delights such as eggs benedict, steak, and maybe even lobster. Come for a day or come for the entire weekend.
We have scheduled a make-up work day for those who cannot make it to camp May 14-16. Also new to the Friends calendar are two fall work days on in Sebago and the other at Knight's Cove. To check the dates, view the friend's calendar. If you are planning on attending please contact the Camp O-AT-KA Executive Director, Ron Hall at ronaldkhall@aol.com, or via the
contact page. Housing is assigned on a first come first serve basis.
The first 70 people to sign-up with Ron, before April 18, will receive a 2010 Work Weekend hat.2010 Friends Weekend
